We went in the low tourist season, so often the beach was almost completely empty. The wind was so strong on the waves that it was actually a bit dangerous to go too much into the ocean, and the waves crazily beat against each other sometimes, swallowing each other up. At night I could hear them crashing violently, and a child-like part of me wondered if they&#8217;d come up and eat the beach whole.
