By placing the lightbulb in the center of the frame, it makes it pop out of you and seems a bit intimidating. The cool color palette and contrast the dark foreground try to communicate the feeling of isolation or loneliness, like when you&#8217;re sitting beside a window and the light shines through closed curtains. This is actually the first picture I&#8217;ve taken in a portrait orientation, and it changes the way I compose a photograph quite a bit because it&#8217;s so narrow.
