For this photo, I focused on using leading lines to guide the viewer’s eye. The strong white line running down the center of the blue court naturally pulls the viewer straight toward the net, which becomes the main point of interest. I liked how simple the scene was, because it made the lines and shapes stand out even more. The clean, geometric look of the court helped me experiment with composition in a more intentional way.

When taking this picture, I realized how powerful lines can be in photography. Even though nothing big or dramatic is happening in the image, the lines create direction and movement, which makes the photo feel more purposeful. I had to crouch and line up the shot carefully so everything stayed centered, and that process made me appreciate how much small adjustments can improve a photo’s overall structure. It taught me that composition isn’t just about what’s in the frame, but how the viewer is guided through it.
