My name is Steve Adams. I am a senior at Freestyle Academy. This website is a compilation of all the projects I have completed at Freestyle. From the self-portrait unit, which explored the question of self identity, to the documentary unit, where we explored an issue in our community, everything I have done is here. You will be able to see photographs and illustrations, read papers, listen to podcasts and music and explore other work through this website I created in WebAudio. I used programs like Adobe DreamWeaver, Pro Tools, PhotoShop, and Flash to create the content you see on this website. We learned many skills at freestyle that contributed to these projects. Firstly, we gained technical skill in many fronts including with photography, and interacting with different applications to create the content we wanted. Secondly, and in my opinion, more importantly, we learned techniques of self expression, which through the tools we use are able to create content that reflects on us as people. Self Portrait

This project’s goal was to explore the question of self identity. Everything we did in the project was geared towards figuring out that question. We did introductions of us, our friends and our family as well.

Narrative: In the narrative unit we explored the skill of telling a story. Everything in this unit was based around story telling. We created an animation, an animatic, an illustration, and a photo narrative diptych. This diptych explored the idea of telling a story through a picture.

Documentary:

In the documentary we documented an issue in our community. I covered the subject of sleep apnea. I interviewed doctors and patients about the topic. We created a book, a website and an audio slideshow to represent our topic.

Experimental:

In the experimental unit we created music, poetry, and illustration and an animated poem. The goal was to express ourselves in unique ways. We wrote poetry in english and chose one of them to animate into a visual representation of it.
