Introduction
One of the last project in Freestyle this year was the humor project. Students were challenged to use their humor create anything they wanted. We took inspiration from Slaughterhous-Five by Kurt Vonnegut, and the Importance of Being Ernest by Oscar Wilde.
Comedic Influences.
As a part of the project we needed to take inspiration on our own time and include it into our own project. Here are some of mine influences.
In my experience, these 2 comedic stars have been a big part of my life. Kevin Hart is obviously super well know for his comedic and movie work. I love his live shows and I get a lot of my influence from him. Ryan Higa is a Youtuber and he does creative work with skits and funny videos that gets millions of views on his channel.
Process
For my Humor project, I created a skit with my partner Louie on “How Not to Get Cancelled in 2021”. We used over exaggeration and sarcasm a lot to create the skit. We wrote a script and also filmed it in a fast pace fashion. The result is below.
