About this podcast

This podcast consists of my and my two gym bros Navin and Bradly. We decided to discuss the big myths that are common in the fitness industry, and what you can do to get the best results you want for your body.

Podcast Bio

Stephen is a Senior at Mountain View High School California. He has been involved with Freestyle academy for 2 years now and the program has helped him learn skills he never would have imagined. Stephen plays a bunch of sports, including basketball, track and field, golf, and tennis. In his own time, Stephen loves taking photos and making videos with his friends. He has always had a passion for the camera. The inspiration for “bunch of bums podcast” was from his other two friend that he works out with. During quarantine Stephen started getting into lifting weights and wanted to do a podcast on the benefits of weight lifting.

Planning

I had a couple of weeks to brainstorm the topic by myself before we created the podcast. I knew that I wanted to discuss something about the gym but I wasn’t sure what I had to do. Then Navin and Bradly gave me an idea about talking about gym myths and debunking them. And most importantly, giving out ways to reach certain fitness goals. We did a little research on the biggest myths that are said in the gym, and we pretty much already knew the answer. The podcast was smooth for us because we knew mainly about what we were saying. There wasn’t a lot of word for word script writing, but we made it work.

Reflection

This podcast taught me a lot about just having a sit down conversation with the people that surround you. Being able to talk in a more “professional” matter really engaged each one of us to have a serious conversation. And it was kinda nice. I will definitely do more podcast int he future with friends about random topics because I think they can be really entertaining for others to listen to.
