Welcome to my page! My name is Sydney Tomasello and I was a student at Freestyle Academy from 2018-2020. At Freestyle, I took classes in English, Digital Media, Design, and Film. Throughout my time here, I have worked towards becoming both a better person and a better artist. I’ve been doing art my whole life, so I am so lucky to have experienced an environment where my creativity and ability is nurtured and is able to grow. I am so thankful for my past two years.

Outside of class, I am either listening to music, going on hikes, spending time with my friends, or drawing and creating, trying to improve my personal skill. I am immensely passionate about creating, and I am constantly trying to challenge myself more, and trying to expand my creative ability. Above all, I am most passionate about exploring and discovering new places. Whether that means I go on a hike with my friends and try to get lost or create a new place and story with my art, I am always trying to go on an adventure.

My favorite Freestyle project was the Documentary project, and my Zenith project. I loved how all of the classes worked together to help create a project that I am extremely proud of. With the Documentary project I was able to combine my passions of design and music, to create a 40 page book about the music in the 1960’s. I worked incredibly hard on this project, and I went outside of my comfort zone in order to interview people that I would have never met otherwise. For Zenith, I created a video essay and a cinematography portfolio to explore my interest in cinematography. I am grateful to my Freestyle teachers and peers for helping me make these projects, I would have never been able to do it without their constant support.
