This project will be conducted in collaboration with local musicians, allowing students to gain practical experience in a professional recording setting. Participants may choose to work independently or with one other student, with a maximum of two individuals per team.

Leo Wright is an aspiring musician currently attending Mountain View High School, where he stands out as a talented guitarist. His love for music is evident in his dedication to his craft, which led him to participate in various projects that allow him to express his creativity.

Artist Statement
In this project, we are required to apply all the skills we learned in Digital Media regarding Pro Tools by recording our music in the Recording Studio. The song is purely impromptu; we want to express a sense of gentleness through the melody. I chose to integrate this feeling into the album designing process. I incorporated dark orange and dark blue to show the juxtaposition between how summer represents goodbye and a new beginning for us as high school seniors. I applied noise and blur filters in Photoshop to show how everything is just like a dream and will be in our memories forever.
Personal Reflection
Personally, I greatly value this opportunity to try different things as a visual artist who hardly knows anything about music. I think this is also what makes Freestyle Academy’s education so valuable because it pushes students out of their comfort zone and experience with various things in the larger world that thrive on creativity.
