Introduction:

Hello, my name is Tae Yoon and I am a first year senior at the Freestyle Academy. This is my portfolio page where I gathered a collection of my best freestyle works from this school year including my best film and other works from Digital Media class.

This is a collection of my best work from this school year at Freestyle as a video. It’s a convenient way to check out my work as it displays all the work in a short video.

This was my final project in film where we got choices to do the project on whatever topic we want. I chose to do an experimental film using ideas I already had in my mind. I would say this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, and my ultimate creation in film.

I was inspired by the galaxy watercolor paintings and I thought it’d look cool to combine that with a flower painting. I wanted the flowers to look like their own universe.

Engraved Mandala

I chose my mandala to be engraved on acrylic because I like the idea of having different lightings through it and each lighting creates a different mood within the same mandala design. I incorporated my core values into my mandala design such as the moon phases, snowflakes, and cats.

Black&White / Color Mandala (might have to reload the page to see this)

This shows both my black & white and colored mandala. For the colored mandala I basically used the same design from black & white one and filled in with colors I thought would fit the best on each section.

Watercolor Painting Effect

This is a triptych of photos edited with watercolor painting effects. All of the photos were originally taken by me and I used photoshop to edit each of them to make it look like watercolor paintings.
