Using Ukrainian folk tales for inspiration, I embarked on a frustrating, but fulfilling, journey attempting to collect the fragments in one mandala. I did it, and I\u2019m proud that I did instead of giving up. Though it could be significantly better, at this moment it\u2019s the best I can do &#8211; this mentality took me by surprise, since my usual perfectionistic tendencies wouldn\u2019t let me live it down, and I\u2019m honestly grateful for it. Next time, I\u2019ll dive deeper into the scopes of Adobe Illustrator and use the tools in a smarter way to convey my thoughts in lines that\u2019ll pop more; much like my peers, who\u2019s masterpieces made me realize just how much more I could do.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Colored Mandala Artist Statement <\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00a0My colored mandala is inspired by children&#8217;s story books as they are colorful and bear a certain meaning. During this project I discovered that I\u2019m still hanging on to my childhood though I\u2019m a senior who\u2019s future is at her doorstep. These emotional ties made the logistical process just that much more impactful, since I\u2019m still figuring out how to use illustrator. The hardest part of this project was figuring out how to express my creativity in a mandala. Now that I\u2019ve gained experience, next time I\u2019ll take more care with the line weight.
