Welcome to my page! My name is Taissia Bazhenova and I am a Design student at Freestyle Academy. Although I only spent a year in this program, I’ve created and learned many valuable things. Outside of school, I participate in a variety of extracurriculars: such as ballroom dance, guitar, piano, viola, art, and Russian literature club. I also spend my weekends babysitting, whether it be my own little siblings or other people’s kids… I’ve always been surrounded by children, which might’ve reflected on my personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For my showcase, I chose to present my PSA, book jacket, and Zenith. Out of the few projects I’ve completed over the year, these are the ones that reflect my style the most. The PSA and book jacket followed rules set within the design room, but the Zenith project allowed for me to spread my wings and try something that could be similar to something I will do in the future. But throughout all of them, I learned the importance of planning and developing your world view using research, as that can drastically improve the presentation of your work. I worked on all these projects individually, and it really felt like a journey of self-discovery as I maneuvered through platforms that were foreign to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Zenith project specifically, what do you think I could’ve done to make it more engaging or applicable to real life? I look forward to coordinating with those in the Graphic Design industry to bring creative visions into life. I’ll be attending San Jose State University in order to pursue this endeavor, and I’m ecstatic to join a community where I could elevate my skills and creativity! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
