Hi! My name is Tali Abkowitz and I’m a senior at Freestyle Academy in Mountain View, California. Freestyle Academy is an innovative program that provides a more 21st century style of learning. Instead of going to your typical classes all day long, we come to Freestyle for half of the day and learn all about Web or Film. On this website you will find all eight of my websites that I have created while at Freestyle. Each of these websites have their own button up there at the top of this page (so just click on the button and you’ll find them!). To create these websites and all of the content within them I used DreamWeaver, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, ProTools, and Reason. Enjoy!

Welcome to my landing page for my self-portrait website! This website is dedicated to me, myself, and I. It is supposed to represent me, who I am, and strive to be. I used DreamWeaver to create the website, Illustrator to create the buttons, and various applications within to create the smaller projects and details.

Welcome to my narrative website! This was the second website I created at Freestyle. This website revolves around a fictional story I wrote in English. We learned how to create a thorough engaging story with all the appropriate parts and pieces. One of my favorite pieces that I created on this website was my character portrait photo, created in Design. We shot this in a formal studio, complete with lights, DSLR cameras, and backdrops. The animation of my story, created in Web Audio, was not a piece I was most proud of. I struggled a lot with ToonBoom, the application we had to use. Welcome to my documentary website! For my documentary, I researched the topic of diabetes and creating a successful business. The topic we researched had to have a location to go along with it, so I chose Gourmet Works in Los Altos, CA. Gourmet Works is a chocolate and specialty foods store in downtown Los Altos that sells chocolates that cater to strict dietary needs. In this website, you will find the book I wrote along with the photos I took within the book. I think that in this unit at Freestyle, I learned the most about myself and my work ethic.

Welcome to my conceptual website! This was my final project during my junior year at Freestyle Academy. For this website we were pretty much allowed to think outside the box and be as creative as possible. I am most proud of my design piece from this website, so make sure to check that out! For that piece, we used both fine art as well as digital art to create an artistic piece based on a statement we randomly selected in English.

Welcome to my profile website! For the profile unit at Freestyle, we were asked to choose, interview, and write a profile essay on an individual that we found interesting. My website revolves around Barabara Gottesman, a life coach from Menlo Park, California. Barb spends her days helping her peers to lead healthier and more positive lives. Throughout this website you will find the commercial I created about Barb, using Adobe After Effects, my magazine, created using Adobe InDesign, and a photogallery of my subject. Please take a look!

Welcome to my second narrative website! During this project I created a short story in English that was dialogue driven. As well as a book trailer in WebAudio in Adobe After Effects. Welcome to my Old Project Information Page. This was the first website related material I ever created here at Freestyle Academy. DreamWeaver took a lot of getting used to as well as using CCS. The design I was going for was a floral, girly, chic look. To create the buttons, I used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, and to create the website’s core I used Adobe DreamWeaver.
