Hello rest of world, welcome to carefully crafted, fantastically designed website! The contents of this website reflect all the hard work I have put into the Narrative Unit these past couple months, and I would appriciate it if you could check it out. every paragraph is indented.
The Narrative Unit our most challenging unit to date, challenging us to push our creative and technical limits. The purpose of this unit was to answer the question “How well can you tell a visually structured story?”. Since the dawn of this unit, we were asked to write extremely short stories called flash fictions. In english we were asked to write and revise two original flash fictions which had to be under 500 words driven through images. We were later tasked with transforming one of these short stories into a graphic novel. The graphic novel forced us to translate our words into concrete images that could later be translated into an animation.
In Web Audio class, we had to create this website using Adobe Dreamweaver, and we had to create an animation using Adobe Flash. At the start of the unit, Flash was a completely new program to us, and we were all a little rusty on our Dreamweaver skills, so we had to learn the necesssary skills to complete the project.
In Design class we had to use the studio and DSLR cameras to create a professional grade portrait of a character out of one of our flash fictions. We incorporated professional lighting equipment and techniques in order to enhance the quality of the photo.
