Who Am I?

My name is Tyler Bellisario, and I am currently a student at Mountain View high school, and Freestyle academy. At Freestyle Academy I take Animation, Digital Media, and English. I am sixteen years old, and I enjoy rock climbing, playing volleyball, and drawing. My favorite things in life are my cats, my family, my friends, and Margherita pizza. I am known to be overly energetic, wise, and spiritual. 

What do I value?

My core values are Fulfillment, Creativity, Improvement and Efficiency. Fulfillment is important to me because I believe that fulfillment is the true goal of humanity, every step towards your goal leads to fulfillment, thus making you chase it further. In Freestyle, I am often left feeling fulfilled after completing projects, especially in Animation, where sometimes I feel disappointed in myself by not completing my projects on time, but the thought of finishing them inspires me to continue working, and progressing towards my goals. Another one of my core values is Creativity, because I believe that humanity couldn’t exist without creativity, creativity took part in every invention, creation, new idea of humanity. I use creativity in Freestyle in all of my classes, in animation I use it to create new characters, in digital media I use it to create new media, and in English I use it to write new stories. Another one of my core values is improvement, specifically constantly working towards a goal, and stopping to appreciate what you have achieved. In Freestyle, I am constantly working to improve countless skills, writing, reading, drawing, and editing videos being examples. My final core value is Efficiency, because I believe that efficiency is a product of creativity, as it must involve thinking to create a new method of any practice. Without efficiency, I wouldn’t be able to achieve any of my goals. 

What do I like to do?

Outside of school, I like to draw, play video games, and rock climb. My favorite things to draw are cartoon cats and characters from my favorite shows. I’ve enjoyed drawing since I was in third grade, and that’s why I chose to take animation in Freestyle. My favorite video games are Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Roblox, and Castle Crashers. I used to go rock climbing multiple times a week with my brother, but now I only go twice a month with my friends. I like rock climbing because it is a fun way to challenge myself physically and mentally. 

What do I hope to achieve in Freestyle?

In Freestyle, I hope to challenge myself, turn in all my assignments, and grow as a creator. I see myself being able to creatively express myself in many new ways, and be able to creatively express myself more freely.

What do I value as a Freestyle student?

As a Freestyle student, I value creativity, expression, and learning new things. I value creativity in Freestyle because most of my previous education lacked it. I believe that the use of creativity is freeing and enjoyable. Being able to express myself in Freestyle is valuable to me because I am unable to do the same in my other classes, I enjoy expressing myself because it leads to me learning more about myself. In Freestyle I learn new skills that I wouldn’t have learned anywhere else. Since I enjoy learning new things this is valuable to me.
