Note to Panelists
Hello! My name is Urna Bajracharya, and Animation is my chosen elective. At Freestyle Academy, I have strengthened my skills in illustration, color palettes, and have formed an interest in animation, storytelling, and civic engagement. My other hobbies outside of school include drawing, gardening, skateboarding, and doing yoga.
For the Showcase, I have selected my Concept Design Book and my Zenith Project. The book includes my work throughout junior and senior year. The Zenith is created for a nonprofit in Fremont. My role was to write the script, book multiple recording sessions, edit the voiceover, request for specific footage from Reneal’s teams in The Philippines and Tanzania, storyboard and then animate! I am proud that I have used my style to create a promotional animation.
I would like to receive feedback focused on your viewing experience of these two pieces. Does my animation and illustration work reflect potential in storytelling? What can I improve in my illustration work to have better design?
Next year, I am planning to go to the University of California, Los Angeles for my undergraduate degree in Design Media Arts and a minor in Civic Engagement. I am very excited to soon grow and experiment in the digital and practical arts.
