As with all of the narrative unit, the photonarrative dyptich was about telling a story. The challenge of this assignment was doing it with only two images. We were told to come up with a story, choose two images that would represent the most important facets of the story, and then go take photos of them.
My dyptich stemmed from a story that went something like this: A man has a deep-rooted fear of judgement from other people, causing him to completely avoid public places (like grocery stores). Because he refuses to go to grocery stores, he runs out of milk.
The first image represents his fear of public places; he's slouched in a car with a grocery store in the background. The second image represents his lack of milk. The dyptich (and story) as a whole are a metaphor of the consequences of living an isolated life.
