Junior Year Reflection

This year at Freestyle Academy has been incredible. I have grown as an artist, as a student, and, most importantly, as a person. I am so grateful for the opportunities given to me in the programs that I have been able to learn and in the wonderful teachers that have made the process absolutely perfect. I essentially started from nowhere, as a Digital Artist, anyway. But now, I have numerous projects under my belt, using a handful of different programs, both visual and auditory. I am now able to do things I couldn’t have even fathomed learning because they were so complex. But step by step, and with the help of my teachers, I was able to accomplish these different projects. Some people would call them assignments, but I simply found them fun. Moving out of my comfort zone was a really large part of my time here at Freestyle, from making a website, which I had never done before, to singing a parody song that I wrote. Just about everything I’ve done at Freestyle has been an absolute pleasure to work through, even when I encountered challenges. These “assignments” have a great way to escape from the stress of my other classes, and I am so glad I was recommended to join Freestyle. I have really enjoyed and appreciated my time at Freestyle Academy this year, and I look forward to a great senior year next year!
