Welcome to my page! My name is Lleyton Brouwer and I was a student at Freestyle Academy. At Freestyle, I took Digital Media, English, and Design. Some of my hobbies include photography and tennis, and I am very interested in architecture as well. I am currently building a portfolio of photography and architecture, which I plan to continue at Freestyle. One of my biggest artistic inspirations is Dawoud Bey’s “Harlem, USA” project. I think the reason why I appreciate this work so much is because it gives a look into life that I don’t really experience or even know anything about. I have really enjoyed being a student at Freestyle Academy. My teachers were incredibly supportive and helpful, and have been clear and concise on instructions about assignments. I really value the opportunities that were made available to me at Freestyle Academy, as I wouldn’t be able to take either a Digital Media or Design class at Los Altos High School.

I think most of the skills I have learned at Freestyle will benefit me in life, in university, and in work. Especially in Design, every assignment has been geared toward either exposing myself to a new culture, or furthering my own artistic development.
