Creating mandalas using Adobe Illustrator was a very calming and enjoyable process. Before drawing my mandala, I thought about the message I wanted to convey through its design. I highly value happiness, nature and sunshine. I started to come up with smiley faces, peace signs, tree-like figures, and an overall sunshine look. Because of its down-to-earth and nature-esque message, I decided to have my mandala printed on the wood slab with natural bark edges. I think this ties the whole design together and I am very content with its final look. It is so satisfying to see my digital art come to life.
