I created my mandala having a sun in mind. I wanted it to look Like a flower in the middle, and the farther out it got, to look like a sun. I also played with a lot of geometric shapes. I used triangles and ovals to make the mandala more dimentional. I also used some blacks to contrast the whites. I made the middle of the mandala really intricate, but the farther out in the work, the less intricate it was. I thought that made the peice interesting. In the inside I made some leaf-like shapes. I wanted to incorperate nature into my piece as much as possible.
