My design concept for this triptych was inspired by living in California. For my label design, I wanted to have an influence of fun nightlife due to the product being beer, an alcoholic beverage enjoyed especially during social gatherings, mainly at night. Due to this, I included neon lights like many beer signs have outside of bars and liquor stores. In addition to this, I chose to create a California aesthetic, such as palm leaves. In my triptych, I chose a darker color scheme with subtle pops of color to add to the night life vibes of beer.
To create my label, I used Adobe Illustrator. I researched how to create the look of neon lights. I then imported pictures of palm leaves to have a reference so I could draw my own. Then I did research on beers: finding different types of beers, alcohol per volume percentages, and more.
Through this experience, I learned about marketing and how to create a look that will attract your target audience. In my triptych, I chose to make a shirt for the beer company I created. I did this because it advertises different products besides beer that the company could profit from.
