When I started creating a mandala, I focused heavily on items and images that I thought represented myself. Rather than draw along the beaten path, I created a mandala with obvious imagery in it—a guitar, a Mark II Jaguar, a pocket watch—all things I thought represented my hobbies and interests well. I realized after the fact just what our mandalas were supposed to be, and so added a bunch of brush strokes and filled in my mandala as I saw fit. I had fun with the colors: although a little flat, I personally like the outcome.

One of the hardest things for me was getting the Jag to reflect properly. Getting the split perfectly down the middle was near impossible, and if you were to take up a diagram of the actual vehicle and zoom in on my mandala, there would be noticeable differences. Related website
