Nihon Breezes: A Senior 3D Layered Art Project by Nicky Krammer (2021)

When creating this project the inspiration I used was thinking what things when coming to Japan I would think of. The way I grew is by having to think of what I would use for what I would if I was a tourist for the first time going to Japan and what stands out to me. Struggles faced were creating the little details when I created my piece and I overcame it by trial and error. When doing the trial and error process I learned what not to do and eventually figured it out. If there's things I would change is adding more details on certain layers like my katana as I felt that it was pretty bland. I would instead add a lot more detail and have wrapping at the bottom of the katana. Thing I'm most proud of is how well the details came out like the Poke ball. This project would help in the future if I want to make 3D layer sculpture and thought me that you can have any broken lines or else the layer will be break. I understand that when people create this type of art, that it takes a lot of time as you don't want to end up breaking your piece. Related website
