Product Logo and Label: A Senior Design Student Product Package by Amara Lin (2021)

My product is an organic high quality CBD oil created through a family owned farm in West Virginia. This tincture is intended for any and all adults of legal age (21+). It especially caters to those with medical needs, such as chronic pain or anxiety. My product is lab tested and certified organic.

If I were to create a magazine advertisement for my product I would use Pathos to market my product because I am claiming to make my customers feel better, whether that be mentally or physically. I would then use the Transfer and Claims advertising methods to convince my audience that my product will improve their lives. Through my clean, natural, and organic packaging style, color scheme, and theme, my customers can be reassured that using this product will help them to have the life that they want. Through my slogan "CBD can help with that," the audience is led to believe that this product can help with one or more of their problems.

For this project I had a client whose voice I had to hear and incorporate while still making a product of my own. This was a bit of a challenge as it was confusing to balance both parties and blend our visions. I wanted to make sure that the product felt clean and organized rather than busy and overwhelming. This is something that my client also wanted to keep in mind throughout the process. Therefore I kept a simple style and color scheme. I made sure that everything felt balanced and aligned to make for a smooth consumption of the label. I used the font that my client had previously used for labels and such as we both felt that it encompassed the company’s image. One thing that I really had to keep in mind was that sometimes less is more. At first the hungry artist in me wanted to showcase my style and creativity. However, I soon realized that the product, while a reflection of my work, did not have to be a full reflection of myself. I then aimed to keep it simple to reflect the company, simply through my lens. Related website
