If I could do my BW colored differently, I would finish the other design I started which was the Chinese zodiac idea. My original design was far too small to be printed, so I had to restart. I really liked the old concept, but with the design, I finished with, I was more open to possibilities. With the old design, I was sticking with a common theme which was the Chinese zodiac. With this one, I had more freedom to draw whatever came into my mind.
I value the BW version of laser engraved art because it was just time for me and a blank canvas to experiment. I have never done a mandala digitally before, and it was relaxing to just be able to try different ways to express myself. I think it was very calming to just listen to music and just draw.
During the creation of the personal mandala, I realized how patient I can be. As I added more layers, the slower and slower the program became. At a certain point, there would be the rainbow cursor popping up after each stroke. Although it was painfully annoying to keep adding more strokes, the final result paid off. I really enjoyed the outcome of both my colored mandala and my BW mandala. I could see myself doing more mandalas in the future.
