Untitled: A Junior Narrative Diptych by Frank Grabowski (2011)

The narrative behind the diptych photo pair is about a teenager who is being pursued by a great monster. While he was home alone, he is suddenly pursued by a large monster resembling a bear which wishes to eat him. He runs inside, injured from his first encounter, attempting to escape the monster, confronted with the choice whether or not to continue running or face the monster and defeat it.

I demonstrate the narrative through these photos by showing the most important points of the story: his realization he's being pursued by a monster, and the second one is the turning point at which he must pick himself up and face the monster. The metaphorical implications are primarily that the monster represents his uncertain future and how he must face it eventually. Also the darkness of the first picture shows how scared the main character is.
