Junior Self-Portrait Illustration: A Junior Self-Portrait Illustration by Jessica Vergara (2011)

In design, we had to draw, using only Adobe Illustrator, one of our best traits and the opposite of that trait which is one of our worst traits. I decided that my best trait was that I was intelligent; but the flip side and worst trait is that I lack common sense. For my illustration, I created a tree of knowledge with an apple to portray that I am intellectually smart, but for the leaves I used question marks to reveal how my knowledge still lacks the common sense it needs to survive. I made the tree using typography because it's all letters and numbers, very simple yet so complex. Then I drew a silhouette hand, using the pen tool, that was suppose to resemble my hand tipping over the tree, because without common sense you don't really have the key roots to your knowledge.
