Fear of Failing: A Junior Narrative Diptych by Jonah Davis (2012)

Once upon a time there was a young boy who was about to go on the playing field. He was so afraid that he would make a mistake and cost his team a point that his bladder started to act up. When it was about time for him to go on the field he simply disappeared. When the coach went to the bathroom at half time he found the kid laying of the floor in one of the stalls. The coach told him to grow a pair and play the game. When some people become afraid they just want to curl up into a ball and make the feeling go away. I chose to represent fear as a corner because thats what it is a place were you feel trapped and surrounded by what you are afraid of. I chose a dripping faucet for my other picture because I feel that that represents the feeling of having to pee when you are nervous or scared because if you actually do go to the bathroom thats normally all that comes out.
