Death is a Hobo: A Junior Narrative Illustration by Jonah Davis (2012)

My story is about a man whom is afraid of death and goes to great lengths to avoid having to face it head on. However death is a persistent fellow who tends to be waiting around the next bend in the road ready to lead you out of this life and into the great beyond. Like a hobo he wanders from place to place never quite settling in but always ready to make mischief. My illustration is supposed to show this by having death represented as a rat because they are clever animals who tend to lead dirty lives and they also tend to move from place to place following food (prey). They are no afraid to show up in large cities and will take almost any opportunity to make their move.
