Post-Moment of Impact: A Senior Mise en Scene Illustration by Julia Day (2013)

The pivotal scene in my narrative occurs in the first minute, with my main character getting killed in a car crash. I made the background less detailed to represent the world fading from his perspective as he's dying. The colors are desaturated minus the red in his wounds to put emphasis on how fatal the wounds are, as well as highlight his limited mortality.
