Across the Road: A Senior Narrative Book Jacket by Alex Stuwe (2014)

The design concept for my book was to create a vibe that looks like a kids book. I did this by making it a really simple design, having a plain white background with an image in the center to draw the attention to it. I also made the writing on the front cover a messy sketched hand written title, as well as the back cover a kids writing. I used white on the front cover as the background so that it doesn't distract from the title at all, and the chicken in the middle. For the back cover I took the colors of the chicken on the front cover, the orange/red mix, and I put that as the back cover background. I used Adobe InDesign to create all of this, and I used the gradient tool to get the orange inner circle and the red outer circle for the back cover.
