A Friendly Neighbor: A Senior Narrative Book Jacket by Gabrielle Makower (2014)

For my design piece, I wanted to create a neutral color scheme. Yellowish-orange and brown are the two main colors for the cover, regardless of the colors within the window. I pictured the window to be the main focal point, so I spent a lot of time designing the view. I created all of the parts in Illustrator and used the pen tool to create most of my focal points. After completing the window, I felt like the rest of the cover was somewhat bland, so I added some big dots to make the book seem more fun!
