Flat Tires: A Senior Narrative Book Jacket by Juan Nava (2014)

I created the book jacket primarily in photoshop. I took a picture of a bicycle leaning against a tree and a picture of the clouds. Then, in Photoshop, I used a tool which selects every color and shapes in the photos, and converts the them into specific colors I want. I choose 6 colors. I gave the images a slight tint of red along with the clouds to give the book jacket the feel of drama. My story is a drama, and my colors scheme gives it this effect. In this unit, I learned how book designers use different fonts to look professional and replicate the genre of the story.
