In a Perfect World: A Senior Humor or Satire Art Project by Elizabeth Halliday (2014)

For my humor project, I decided to explore the vision of those who are not inherently gorgeous from the perspective of Hollywood and society. I focused on using blunder and exaggerism, because I was satirizing the way that comedy actors are typically treated in Hollywood. The industry, in a sense, says, ''You're talented, but you don't fit the standard of the Hollywood look''. For my illustration, I toyed with how this Hollywood way of thinking affects you. That is why people are always trying to find outside sources, such as a God or plastic surgeon, to help change the way one looks, instead of learning to accept oneself the way he/she is.

I drew a cartoon for this project. I opened up Illustrator, and just started drawing (using the Wacom Tablet). I experimented with different pen shapes, but I decided that the classic round tip would work best for my cartoon.
