Melody Man: A Senior Humor or Satire Art Project by Juan Nava (2014)

The type of humor I chose for the humor unit is blue comedy. It is a photo of me on the toilet, holding an empty toilet paper roll while my father, who is playing melody man, shoots happy music into my brain. My group's humor concept was the character, melody man, whose superpower is to make people feel better by injecting happy music into their brains.

The main instrument I used for this project is the camera. I took the shot early in the morning, so there was low light. Furthermore it was done indoors, so that also limited the light substantially. I set the iso as low as I could and Dropped the shutter speed as much as I could while still hoping to get non-blurry photos. It ended up being the best photo I took, since the other ones turned out somewhat blurry. Lastly in photoshop, I placed music notes between my father and I to convey the superpower.
