Bay Area Comedy Spotters: A Senior Humor or Satire Art Project by Katherine Higgins (2014)

My humour project relied heavily on satire and caricature. I first exemplified some hella fresh ''California'' stereotypes - caricature - and then flipped them right round to show how absurd they are - satire. I tried to make the satire most clear through the hashtag #noconstructs, referring to the social constructs youth sometimes try to adhere to, which is hella wack.

I used studio portrait photography, then used Adobe Photoshop to add Snapchat style captions and touch up the photos to make them as high quality as possible.
