Fasketball: A Senior Humor or Satire Art Project by Nicolas Fricker (2014)

Fasketball is the combination of football(soccer) and Basketball. A one team sport where we pass each other the ball and try to put it through the basketball hoop. Half the time we miss the hoop completely, but when we score it is usually very accurate for example swishes or without looking when were turned away from the hoop. So the girl, Sheila, represents a top athlete that is performing a bicycle kick and swishing the ball into the hoop. The use of Photoshop let me create different layers where i could superpose Sheila and the three of the basketballs. By lowering the opacity and using the eraser tool i added the crowd of people supporting the basketball hoop and Sheila. I also added in PS the clouds in the sky by overlaying a picture of orange clouds onto this image creates this warm feeling. In the original photo, i made sure to keep the sun behind the backboard, to prevent the picture from being washed out.
