Senior Book Jacket: A Senior Narrative Book Jacket by Elisabeth Temme (2015)

My story is a children's book about a sloth named Charlie, who's beyond bored of reenacting the same dull, mediocre sloth routine over and over again. Eat, sleep, pee, repeat. One day he begins to ask himself, Isn't there more? Can't I create my own adventure? With the help of an unlikely companion, a cheetah named Chakor, Charlie sets out on a quest for speed. In conclusion, he comes in second place in a rookie race, and is very happy and proud of his accomplishment. He even gains a new friend, a slow loris named Loris. This book is all about learning to value progress, the journey, and friends made along the way.

My book cover relates to the story in that the setting is a tropical rainforest, where Charlie lives. Charlie is pictured hanging in a tree, the embodiment of sloth. I chose this scene to illustrate because it demonstrates where he started before he made progress through work.
