EricG_Surreal: A Senior Surreal Photo by Eric Garcia (2017)

Water is essential to our livelihood, but time is beginning to run out with our usage. To develop this piece, I used Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop filters. Starting with a photo taken from the top of the Mora Trail in Los Altos, I darkened the piece so it had a more twilight feel, and edited in a full moon. Creating a duplicate layer mask, I added Filters, along with Burn and Dodge effects to one of the hills and shifted the transparency to give the appearance of water. Finally, I put a clock on the moon and edited in a tombstone to send the message that during the California Drought, time was running out.
