Cycle: A Senior Surreal Photo by Megan Yama (2017)

I decided to repeat a lot of elements in this picture to signify the different cycles in our lives. The different phases of the moon represents time passing. But the buildings show little to no change. As if time was still moving but you were stuck and unable to grow. I chose a lot of elements from nature because I find that nature always seems to progress regardless of situation. While a building stays the same until something is destroyed and doesn't change as rapidly over time. Using Photoshop, I created multiple layer masks to create pngs in order to merge the elements together.
