I used a watch and a plate number on my photograph to represent my concept statement. These two objects both go together because in your travels when you’re in the car, you clearly need time. In my photograph, I tried to play around with the different angles. I also chose not to show too much sunlight, I didn’t think it would’ve made sense if I showed way too much sunlight but I also didn’t make it as dark so that you could, of course, still see my photograph. I angled it from the side and a little bit to the top to give more focus to the watch and to really emphasize it as well.
The watch and the plate number gives a bit of a mystery and a bit of gloominess. The watch represents ‘regret’. I chose the watch because when you regret something, it’s impossible to change it, there’s not much you can do about it because of the different events in your life happening. I used the plate number to represent ‘the experience of traveling to a new place’ since in every place there are different kinds of plate numbers and most people drive going to different places instead of flying on a plane and I thought it’d be a more creative and fun way to picture ‘traveling to a different place’ using a plate number instead of a car wheel or maybe a plane ticket.
In the process of editing it, I made sure to brighten up my image, contrast my photo so that the dark areas would come out darker and I used the S-curve as an easier way to edit my photo. I also added Vignette to it to add a bit of darkness to the edges of my photo, then I made sure to merge it and before saving it and lastly, I changed the image size. Then saved it as a PDF to be able to turn it in. This made me try out new things in Photoshop and try out whatever worked with my photograph.
