My one page flyer is promoting the release of the band 5 Seconds of Summer’s new album CALM. Although this flyer was made one month after the album’s release, it is still about an event that did actually take place. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band was unable to do an in-person promotional tour, so they had no other choice but to celebrate online. I, as well as tens of thousands of other fans, took part in celebrating this release and it was an extremely memorable night considering what was happening in the world at the time. I wanted to honor this event and album by taking the time to make this promotional flyer. The design element I am most proud of on this flyer is the inner black background. Rather than having a plain black background to house the information, I took it and made it take the shape of a worn paper and added some distressing to it to make it seem like the flyer has been used.
