I chose to make this one page flyer for the art event held every 3 years in Japan, called the Setouchi Triennale. The reason why I wanted to make a flyer for this particular event was because last summer, I traveled back to Japan alone for a month and volunteered for setting up this art festival, and I discovered many artworks and artists, and got to experience various perspectives and insight as an artist. I wanted to share this event with others through the flyer so that more people will recognize and be familiar with it. Not just volunteering for this event, but participating in it as an audience and visiting islands with many artworks from all over the world would be an interesting experience for everyone if they have the opportunity to visit Japan.
I was mostly proud of the simplicity and the strong title that I used, but also thought that the background picture that I took on my own while I volunteered for the art festival was also clear and described one of the most interesting parts about this art festival, where the audience rides on ships to visit all of the islands, each with different artworks.
