I created this poster for Journey’s Escape album. Spelled “ESC4P3” just like it was on the album cover, and every single font on this poster was found online and downloaded by me exclusively for use in this poster. I love 80’s music, so when we were asked to create a poster the first thing I thought of was an album-cover poster, and I chose Journey for their iconic album designs. I did not make mine as flashy or colorful as almost any Journey album, but made a geometric design that I felt replicated 80’s style.
I am proud of the receding grid - it took some thought to make it work, and the lines don’t perfectly match up, but that all adds to the aesthetic. As well, the two gradient triangles were fun to make, and I am certainly proud of my ability to find, download, and use fonts that did not come pre-downloaded on the computer or with InDesign.
