When creating my fake flyer, I was inspired by many mehndi pictures that I had in my camera roll. My sister does it really well and I have always wanted to learn so I thought it would make a perfect event. The picture I used is from a wedding I attended in India of what the henna looks like while it’s drying and the result after you’ve scraped it off. I value how this project allowed me to share a part of my culture with the world. I am most proud of the layout that I created however, I do wish I had added some mehndi designs on the sides since they were looking a little plain. Overall, I really liked how this project tested me to see if I understood the basic InDesign tools.
