My inspiration for the project was my favorite TV show Rick and Morty. I grew during this project because I now have the experience of making a fictitious flyer in InDesign. I can translate that experience to make a flyer for real events and maybe even profit using my experience.
The biggest struggle I encountered during this project was finding an appropriate image for the flyer that is also 100% free for use. I experimented with many different pictures and color schemes to match the picture but in the end I went with the neon lights and neon colors to complement the party aesthetic. I think what I would do to change the project is that I would incorporate another graphic design element from Photoshop and then import it into the flyer. The graphic design element would probably be something from the actual TV show if I could get an image royalty-free. Im most proud of the theme for this project, I incorporated a great uniform color scheme and image. I will definitely use the format of this project to make a real flyer in the future. By format I mean I will incorporate all the information required for this project in a real flyer such as date, contact information, entry price, and location. This project changed the way I see others art by showing me what others are passionate about. With a project like this everyone has free range to use any topic they want so I get to see everyones interests through art.
