My poster showcases two fishbowls, one with four orange and red toned fish and one with the phrase change is a chance for growth formed by the same bubbles. The colors I chose were meant to pop and emphasize, with the orange fish standing out over the dark and light tones of blue in the fishbowls and the bright lime green background. One fish is jumping out of the first bowl towards the second bowl, which symbolizes seizing a chance for growth. I added translucent light blue circles as bubbles in the corners to finish off the background. The bowls represent these chances for change; chances we should be open to and embrace taking. With this poster, I hope to convey the importance of staying open to the possibility of changing, growing, and becoming better versions of ourselves.
I started with finding images of objects I could trace on Adobe Illustrator that would fit my vision. I struggled with finding bowls and fish images that fit the theme I wanted, so once they were found, I simplified and tweaked the tracing to my liking. After incorporating my color scheme, duplicating, and placing elements, I started working on the typography, which involved experimentation. I worked with different fonts as my base and switched out bubble sizes placed over the base to find what looked best. Finally, I added a green rectangle with bubble details behind my bowl, fish, and type layers functioning as the background. Most of the issues that arose were ones involving how to execute my vision best, and I learned the best way to solve those problems when they arise were to handle them as trial and error and try new solutions till I found the one that matched best.
