I created this character, Poppy the Pug. I sculpted the head and body using ZBrush, and colored the model with Substance Painter. Poppy is a friendly pug. I wanted to make a character that was very happy and cute, with flowers, because that made me happy. I animated her walk, run, and jump cycles to reflect her bubbly personality.
I learned the most while animating this. I had a lot of trouble painting the skin weights, so the model looks a bit wrinkly when it's moving. I also learned the importance of animating secondary movement, because that is what added the final touch and made the animation look more lifelike.
