For this piece I wanted to take things that don't match up whatsoever and put them together. The first thing that came to mind was fire and ice which is shown in the image. I really wanted to show the two communicating with one another in the same space which is this landscape. I wanted the viewer to get the warm feeling of winter juxtaposed with the summer forest fires that bring about everyone's summer fears. Most importantly I believe that a large majority of art makes no sense(even to the creator) so I wanted to create that puzzle in the viewers mind because at the end of the day art is meant for fun expression not to make sense.
