In my Surreal Project, I tried to go for a creative take on a box with some items that I’d have in real life. This project forced me to think more creatively and be able to take components of large images in order to express my own idea. My initial struggle was figuring out what to make because in my opinion, creating an original image using 4+ individual images is pretty difficult. In addition, finding images that looked good in terms of lighting and color was difficult. If I were to change something I’d probably add more detail to the cardboard box background. I’d do this by taking the texture of another image and blending it with the box. I am most proud of how I was able to blend my items with the clouds. This project has essentially made me more comfortable with trial and error. In addition, it has made me appreciate the original surrealism pieces that I have seen.
